The 75th anniversary of the Edinburgh & District Shetland Association prompted the publication of this book in which past and present members share their memories of the highs and lows of Association activities since it's formation in 1928.

The Author, A daughter of Shetlanders, Vaila J. Irvine was born in Edinburgh and lived in the Isles during the Second World War.

She has been a member of the Association since her return to Scotland's capital and is still a frequent visitor to the Old Rock.
